Surprise Dad..The Tooth Fairy is Coming AGAIN!

Dear Kevin,
Look what happens while you are away and a couple of our kids decide to play! I think it is going to be a late night once again as we wait for the Tooth Fairy to come and leave a dollar under one very happy boys pillow, and magically change that glass of water next his bed to resemble the color of her dress (shout out to Hannah here~~Thanks for the extra important tooth fairy tip). Miss you and love you. See you real soon.

A Lonesome Week Without Daddy

How well can you fit 4 people in a self-shot photo when no matter how far you stretch your fingers... your not able to magically make your arm grow another few inches? Well for all you curious minds this is how well we fit with 3 squirming kids and a mom who needs longer arms!

Art class is obviously starting their Optical Illusion unit this month so here's Kyler's first attempt. He's really quite proud, and don't be surprised if he makes you a special picture to hang above your hotel bed for next week!
More and more and more self portraits. Kyler tells me we have a tripod somewhere, but where's the fun in that?

Fair warning to all you readers...Kevin has been working in Chicago this month so we have been very lonesome here at home without him. Since he is missing all the day-to-day activities I promised him I would post a bunch of photos while he is away so he can keep up with our crazy life. If you happen to live in Michigan you know it is almost a requirement to be a fan of apples (well that and anything else to do with The Lions, Tigers, Red Wings or Pistons.) Since I haven't quite got on the sports bandwagon yet (still a much bigger fan of Utah and Chicago Teams) it's a good thing I happen to like apples. Michigan happens to be one of the top exporters in the country and apple season has officially begun. We're in for a month of great treats in this house.

It's FINALLY here...The start of an all new school year. Excitement for my boys, and relief for their mom. After a wonderful, busy summer, it's a bit refreshing to get them back on a regular school schedule. Plus, it gives me another excuse to pull out my camera and snap away. I'm sure my kids will only enjoy this for a couple more years, so I need to take advantage while I still can. Remember when your parents tried to pull out the camera when you were a teenager....Oh, the dread. I see where my mom and dad were coming from now. As a parent you want to capture every moment in your child's life so you never loose the memory associated with the event. Not only that, you have good leverage when your kids get older and one or two of those embarrassing photos just happens to resurface at inopportune times. (Hmmm...what pictures should I store away for later use?)

It's always exciting to get dressed for that first day in a new grade, put your new backpack on, and somewhat hesitantly and a whole lot excitedly walk to the bus stop anticipating what lies ahead. My boys couldn't wait, and I can't wait until they get home with a whole new batch of stories to tell me. I'll look forward to it all day and try not to miss them too much while they are away. Caleb and I will have to be creative to fill our time while they're gone. See you soon boys! I'll try to not miss you too much!
